How the cold weather can affect your Doors and Windows
Updated: Dec 8, 2021
With the winter setting in and the weather turning colder, it's not just us who are feeling the nip. Here are the most common issues you can face with your UPVC/Composite doors and windows this festive season
With temperatures dropping, the affect it can have on your UPVC or Composite doors can lead to a multitude of problems. UPVC will expand and contract dependant on the temperature, causing the door to drop and sometimes become jammed. Look out for early signs such as the door being tough to close or struggling to turn the key in the lock. These can be a warning that the door has dropped.
If you find yourself having these problems or if your door has jammed and will not open, call NSJ Locksmiths, Farringdon Locksmith Service, Sunderland on 07595399885. Alternatively contact us via the website www.farringdonlocksmithservice.co.uk or email email@example.com
Its cold and its wet. Not a great combination when it comes to your door locks. Rain and other condensation builds up inside the keyway of your lock. Once the temperature falls below freezing there's no way you are getting the key inside.
If this happens to you and you are left out in the cold, please call NSJ Locksmiths, Farringdon Locksmith Service, Sunderland on 07595399885. Alternatively contact us via the website www.farringdonlocksmithservice.co.uk or email firstname.lastname@example.org
